It’s Wednesday Night and you know what that means!
Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz greets the audiences at home as William Regal stands in the ring. He says that MJF will not be appearing tonight (as he is on set for a movie) but will address fans next week. He says he’s sure everyone is wondering about the relationship he has with MJF, and reveals he sent him an e-mail several weeks ago.
Jon Moxley’s music hits and he heads to the ring. He stares down Regal, then looks to hit him. Bryan Danielson runs down and inserts himself between the two men to stop him from doing so. He then grabs a mic and says he doesn’t know why Regal did what he did, but they’ve all done bad things. He says Regal has a bad neck and two bleeds on his brain, then begs him not to hurt him. Danielson then slaps Moxley and says he doesn’t care if fans boo. He tells Moxley his father shared the same struggles of addiction as he did, and Regal was there to teach him. He tells Moxley to block fans out and says Regal helped him understand his father’s struggles. He tells him to imagine someone teaching his daughter how to love him despite his struggles and says he loves Regal.
Moxley contemplates what to do next as he grasps the ring ropes. He stares down Regal once more, then tells him he only wants one thing: for him to run far away and never come back. He tells him to walk and tells him not to stop. Regal obliges.
BACKSTAGE: Renee Paquette is with Keith Lee and Renee asks Lee where he stands with Swerve Strickland after Full Gear. Swerve walks in and dismisses Renee. He tells Lee to choose his words wisely. Both men take off their jackets as Swerve covers the camera and says they need to talk.
Back at ringside, Jake Hager, Matt Menard, Angelo Parker and Daniel Garcia head down to the ring, followed by Orange Cassidy, The Best Friends and Rocky Romero.
MATCH #1: AEW All-Atlantic Championship Match:
Orange Cassidy © vs. Jake Hager
The bell rings and Cassidy delivers his signature kicks to Hager. He follows it up with a drop kick, but Hager fires back with a shoulder tackle. Cassidy knocks Hager’s purple bucket hat off his head, then low bridges him to the outside. He eyes Hager’s hat and picks it up. Menard, Garcia and Parker look to grab it from him, but Cassidy ducks out of the way. He delivers a tope suicida, but Hager catches him. Parker grabs the hat and places it on Hager’s head.
Back from the break, Hager looks to toss Cassidy to the outside. Cassidy holds on, and when he eventually falls, Best Friends and Rocky Romero catch him. The pair get back in the ring before Cassidy hits Stun-Dog Millionaire and follows it up with a DDT. He sets up for the Orange Punch, but Hager intercepts him and plants him with a chokeslam. Hager looks for the Hager Bomb, but Cassidy gets his knees up. Hager stops himself and locks in an Ankle Lock. Cassidy grabs his hat and Hager releases the hold. Cassidy hits Orange Punch, but Hager doesn’t go down. He rolls up Hager for the win.
Winner: Orange Cassidy
After the match: The Best Friends, Romero and Cassidy look to hug. The Factory cuts them off and Marshall says that since Cassidy has no problem giving out All-Atlantic title matches, then looks to continue but his mic cuts out. The lights go out, and when they come back on, Julia Hart is standing on the ramp.
The rest of the House of Black appears in the ring behind Romero, Cassidy and Best Friends. They level them, then do the same thing to The Factory. Murphy drags Cole Karter up on the ramp, then hands him to Brody King, who delivers Dante’s Inferno. Malakai Black then grabs a mic and tells members of the House of Black to rise.
MATCH #2: Finals of the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament:
“Absolute” Ricky Starks vs. “All Ego” Ethan Page
The bell rings and Page delivers a kick to Starks’ midsection. He delivers several right hands to Starks’ head, but Starks fires back with a boot to his midsection and several right hands. Page delivers several boots to Starks in the corner, but Starks fires back with a Spear. The two men spill to the outside before Page rams Starks into the barricade spine first.
Back from the break, Page delivers an ax handle to Starks. He sends Starks bouncing off the top rope, but Starks sends Page to the outside. He looks for a tope suicida, but Page pulls him out of the way, and he lands on the floor. The referee ejects Hathaway before Page tosses Starks back in the ring and ascends to the top. Starks meets him there and delivers a superplex. Starks hits a swinging neck breaker, then follows it up with a DDT. He looks for Roshambo, but Page escapes and hits him with a right hand. He hits a powerslam, then goes for a pin but Starks kicks out. Page sets up for Ego’s Edge, but Starks escapes. Page hits a pair of roundhouse kicks, but Starks manages to hit three Spears for the win.
Winner: “Absolute” Ricky Starks
We then head to a video of Wardlow, who warns Samoa Joe that he’s coming for him and the TNT Championship.
Back from the break, we head to a video of Jade Cargill confronting Bow Wow at his concert in Miami earlier this week.
BACKSTAGE: Renee is with Jade Cargill and The Baddies, when Renee asks Cargill if she cares to comment on her confrontation with Bow Wow. Cargill says he has no comment and says she’s happy to get her championship back. She says she will be holding a celebration next week and says Mark Sterling will be handling the legal matter. Sterling says she has no comment. Cargill, Red Velvet and Leila Grey walk off. Sterling tells Kiera Hogan he needs a moment of her time and informs her she is no longer part of The Baddies, as she didn’t hold up her end of the deal and help Cargill out.
Back at ringside, The Elite head to the ring, followed by Death Triangle.
MATCH #3: Second Match in the Best of Seven Series for the AEW World Trios Championships:
Matt Jackson, Nick Jackson and Kenny Omega vs. Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix and PAC
Omega and Fenix begin the action. The bell rings and Omega gets in Fenix’s face. Omega hits Fenix with a rising knee, then follows it up with a spinebuster. He sends Fenix to the outside, then looks to go flying, but Fenix catches him with a cutter. Death Triangle then delivers a triple drop kick to Omega before the trio hit the Risky Business. PAC tags in and Omega delivers a back elbow to him. Omega delivers a bulldog, then goes for a pin but PAC kicks out. Matt tags in and takes a lap about the ring. He delivers an elbow.
Back from the break, Omega bites PAC’s arm. PAC fires back with a German Suplex before tagging in Penta. Matt tags in and Penta hits him with a DDT and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Fenix tags in and delivers an arm drag. Matt hits a superkick, then tags Omega back in. PAC tags in and Omega hits a V-Trigger to the back of his head. He follows it up with a Snap Dragon Suplex, then tags in Matt. Matt takes off PAC’s face guard before The Elite deliver the BTE Trigger. Matt goes for a pin, but Penta and Fenix break it up. Nick tosses them to the outside and takes them out. Omega tags in and delivers the V-Trigger, then sets up for One Winged Angel. PAC escapes and runs the ropes, but Omega catches him and delivers the GTS. Matt tags in and delivers a sneaky low blow to PAC while the referee’s back is turned. Matt grabs the ring hammer, but Penta sneaks up on him and uses a hammer of his own. PAC pins Matt for the win.
Winners: Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix and PAC
After the match: Fenix gets in Penta’s face.
We then head to Renee Paquette on the ramp. She says she has a massive announcement and says that since the window for Thunder Rosa’s return is uncertain, the company has asked her to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Championship and Rosa has agreed to do so. She then introduces everyone to the NEW AEW Women’s Champion: Jamie Hayter.
Hayter, Britt Baker and Rebel then join Paquette. Paquette congratulates Hayter and asks her how she feels. She goes to speak, but Baker cuts her off and grabs the mic. She says Hayter is the Undisputed AEW Women’s Champion. Baker and Hayter then head to the ring.
Back from the break, Tay Melo and Anna Jay head to the ring, followed by Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale.
MATCH #4: Women’s Triple Threat Tag Team Match:
Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker vs. Tay Melo and Anna Jay A.S. vs. Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale
Back from the break, Melo and Hayter begin the action. The bell rings and the two lock up. Hayter delivers a pair of shoulder tackles before Jay runs in the ring. The two looks for a double suplex, but Hayter reverses it. She follows it up with a Snap Suplex, then tags in Baker. Baker delivers a pair of forearms, then follows it up with a sling blade. Melo hits a forearm, then tags in Jay. The pair hit Baker with a double suplex before Baker tags in Nightingale. Nightingale delivers a hip attack to Jay, then follows it up with a high boot and a bodyslam. Blue gets in the ring and the duo hit Jay with a cazadora.
Back from the break, Blue delivers a step-up knee and a thrust kick to Jay. Baker tags in and delivers a swinging neck breaker to Blue. Baker delivers a kick to Blue’s head before Hayter runs in and delivers a Hayte Breaker. Baker follows it up with a Curb Stomp for the win.

Commentary then announce that Toni Storm’s time as AEW Interim Women’s Champion is officially being recognized as a normal championship reign, and she is officially a former AEW Women’s Champion.
BACKSTAGE: Renee is with Top Flight and FTR, when FTR compliments Top flight before Darius says that they’ve always dreamed of facing them. He then challenges them to a match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships this Friday on Rampage and FTR accepts.
Back at ringside, The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn head down as Caster raps and takes shots at the roster for what went down at Full Gear, including Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal’s loss to Darby Allin and Sting.
Bowens says it’s good to be back in Chicago and says there’s a lot to be thankful for. He says they proved that everyone loves The Acclaimed after retaining their AEW Tag Team Titles. Billy Gunn then unwraps his hand and Bowens calls for him to scissor him.
Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal, Jeff Jarrett and Satnam appear on the tron. Jarrett says that if they want to talk smack, then he’ll give them something to talk about.
Gunn then grabs a mic and says no one wants to see ‘the old man’ on the screen. He then says this is the moment everyone has been waiting for. The trio then scissor one another in the ring.
Commentary then runs down the card for this Friday’s Rampage and next Wednesday’s Dynamite.
Back from the break, Tomohiro Ishii heads to the ring, followed by Chris Jericho.
MAIN EVENT: ROH World Championship Match:

The bell rings and Jericho yells at Ishii in Japanese. Ishii slaps Jericho before Jericho returns the favor. The two slap one another before Ishii delivers a kick to Jericho’s spine. Jericho rolls to the outside, then gets back in the ring. The two exchange forearms before Ishii delivers a suplex. Jericho looks for a Code Breaker, but Ishii ducks it and looks for a shoulder tackle. Jericho blocks it and looks for one of his own. Ishii blocks it and the two men exchange numerous chops.
Jericho begins bleeding from his chest as Ishii gains the upper hand and knocks him to the mat. Ishii delivers a shoulder tackle, but Jericho fires back with a boot and several clotheslines in the corner. He delivers a chop, then fires off ten right hands to Ishii’s head. Ishii counters it into a powerbomb, then goes for a pin, but Jericho kicks out. Ishii looks for a lariat, but Jericho blocks it and delivers a cross chop. Ishii hits an elbow, but Jericho fires back with a DDT on the apron.
The two men exchange forearms on the outside before getting back in the ring and continuing to do so. Ishii delivers a suplex before Jericho returns the favor and delivers two of his own. He follows it up with a Lionsault, then goes for a pin but Ishii kicks out. Jericho hits a Code Breaker, then goes for a pin but Ishii kicks out once again.
Jericho looks for the Judas Effect, but Ishii ducks out of the way and delivers a headbutt. He follows it up with a sliding lariat, then goes for a pin but Jericho kicks out. Jericho looks for the Walls of Jericho, but Ishii blocks it and delivers a Code Breaker. He delivers a lariat, then goes for a pin but Jericho kicks out. Jericho locks in the Walls of Jericho, but Ishii tries to escape. Jericho counters it into the Lion Tamer for the win.

After the match: Jericho points at Ian Riccaboni, but Claudio Castagnoli comes out of nowhere and hits Jericho with a vicious right hand.
