AEW Full Gear results from 11-19-2022

It’s Saturday night and you know what that means!

Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz and Jim Ross greets the audiences at home.

MATCH #1: Steel Cage Match:
Jungle Boy” Jack Perry vs. Luchasaurus
Pinfall or submission rules applied. Perry attempted to get the better off Luchasaurus as the match got underway. Luchasaurus stopped the momentum of Perry with a big boot. Luchasaurus sent Perry’s face into the steel surrounding the ring. Perry was busted open. Luchasaurus continued to punish Perry by repeatedly crashing his body against the steel. Perry began to fight back by going after the arm of Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus immediately stopped Perry in his tracks and drove him into the mat.

At ringside, Cage quietly pulled the key to the cage from the referee on the outside. Security came down and dragged Cage away. The cage door was opened. Luchasaurus attempted to come to Cage’s aid, but Perry took him down. Luchasaurus sent Perry into the steel again. Luchasaurus sent a table and two steel chairs into the ring. Perry began to fight back once again as the action returned to the ring. Perry landed a Destroyer and followed it up by hitting Luchasaurus with a steel chair. Perry dropped Luchasaurus with a Killswitch onto the chair.

Luchasaurus replied and chokeslammed Perry onto the steel chair. Luchasaurus and Perry landed on the canvas from the top turnbuckle. Both men sat up in the center of the ring. Luchasaurus took control of the match and told Perry to stay down. Perry responded with a piledriver. Perry set up the table. Luchasaurus smartly flipped over the table. Luchasaurus landed a Tombstone and followed up by sending Perry down onto the mat. Luchasaurus set up the table. Perry replied and placed Luchasaurus on top of the table. Perry leaped from the top of the cage and delivered an elbow drop. Perry locked in a Snare Trap to win.

Winner: “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry

MATCH #2: AEW World Trios Championship Match:
Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix and PAC © vs. Nick Jackson, Matt Jackson and Kenny Omega
Don Callis joined the commentary table for the match. The fans chanted “welcome back” at The Elite. Omega and Pac began the match as the legal men. The fans began to chant “Fuck CM Punk” and “Colt Cabana.” Nick Jackson and Fénix were tagged in and they went back and forth. Matt Jackson and Miedo were tagged in. The Bucks collided with Miedo and Fénix. Nick Jackson took out Pac on the floor. Omega was tagged back into the match.

Death Triangle worked on Omega in their corner of the ring. Pac’s nose was bleeding as he was shown on the apron. The new legal man Matt sent Fénix and Miedo over his shoulders at the same time. Omega was eventually tagged back in to battle Pac. Omega took a dive over the top rope to the outside. Matt delivered a DDT to Fénix on the apron. Nick headscissored Miedo from the top turnbuckle onto the remaining competitors on the floor.

Death Triangle delivered a triple Tombstone back in the ring. Death Triangle delivered a combination of moves. Pac connected with a Black Arrow to Omega and locked him in a submission. Moments later, Pac tossed a hammer to Fénix in the ring, but Fénix didn’t want to use it. Omega took advantage and planted Fénix into the mat. After more back-and-forth action, Pac passed Fénix the hammer again. Fénix used the hammer while on the shoulders of Omega, which allowed him to score the victory for his team.

Winners: Penta El Zero Miedo, Rey Fenix and PAC

MATCH #3: TBS Championship Match:
Jade Cargill © vs. Nyla Rose
It’s champion vs. “champion” tonight as Cargill looks to get her stolen hardware back from the Native Beast. Jade is in some great Thundercats gear. Nyla takes out Kiera Hogan but Jade comes right at her. Nyla getting beat on and sent to the floor. Pump kick sends Nyla over the barricade into the crowd. They brawl back in but Nyla drops her face first into the ring steps. Big slams! Splash! Cannonball! Jade boots Rose to the chin and she drops. Jade off the ropes but Nyla gets a boot up! They try suplexes…Rose guts Jade on the ropes…diving knee drop! Kick out! Rise tries a Beast Bomb but Jade’s out. She hits a Beast Bomb on Nyla! Kick out! Great power! Nyla rolls through out of Jaded…Kick out…Nyla hits Jaded herself! Kick out! Nyla misses a senton! Pump kick from Jade! She hits Jaded and Nyla stays down for the three! The champ gets her belt back!

Winner: Jade Cargill

MATCH #4: Fatal Four-Way Match for the ROH World Championship:
Bryan Danielson vs. “The Ocho” Chris Jericho © vs. Claudio Castagnoli vs. Sammy Guevara
Ian Riccaboni joined the commentary team for the match. The four-way broke down as soon as the bell rang. Jericho battled Castagnoli on the outside, while Danielson took it to Guevara in the ring. Danielson took Guevara out at ringside by diving through the middle rope. Jericho attacked Danielson and sent him back into the ring. Danielson and Castagnoli worked together on Jericho and Guevara. They shook hands and began to battle.

Castagnoli and Danielson traded pinfall attempts. Jericho entered the ring and broke up the trading of pinfall attempts. Danielson and Castagnoli locked Jericho in a Boston crab. Guevara saved Jericho. The pair began to work together and posed to the hard cam. Danielson fought back against Jericho and Guevara. Castagnoli returned to the ring and fought with Jericho. Jericho landed a Codebreaker on Castagnoli. Guevara pulled Jericho off his cover on Castagnoli.

Guevara took it to Jericho. Guevara landed his own Codebreaker, but Jericho kicked out of the cover that followed. Guevara attempted the Walls of Jericho. Jericho countered and locked Guevara in the submission hold. Jericho locked the hold on Danielson. Castagnoli locked Jericho in a Sharpshooter. Danielson applied the LeBell lock on Jericho at the same time. Guevara returned to the ring and broke up the submission. Guevara landed the GTH on Jericho and connected with a Shooting Star Press. Jericho kicked out of Guevara’s cover.

Danielson slapped Guevara. Castagnoli lifted Guevara and sent him crashing into Jericho on the outside. Danielson connected with a running knee on Castagnoli. Castagnoli kicked out of Danielson’s cover. Danielson delivered a series of elbows to Castagnoli. Castagnoli delivered a big lariat to Danielson. Guevara landed a Cutter on Castagnoli. Guevara followed it up by attempting a Spanish Fly from the top turnbuckle, but Danielson reversed it into a submission on the mat.

On the outside, Castagnoli delivered a Neutralizer to Danielson. Guevara landed a Shooting Star Press to Castagnoli on the outside. Back in the ring, Guevara leaped from the top turnbuckle, but Castagnoli caught him with an upper cut. Castagnoli swung Guevara in the center of the ring. Jericho connected with a Judas Effect on Guevara and then landed the move on Castagnoli to retain the gold.

Winner: “The Ocho” Chris Jericho

MATCH #5: Women’s One-On-One Match:
Britt Baker vs. Saraya
Saraya’s brother Zak was sat at ringside. Baker got the early advantage and sent Saraya down to the mat. Saraya clutched her neck as she went down. Saraya got back up and smiled. Saraya locked Baker in a headlock. Moments later, Baker delivered a neckbreaker to Saraya on the floor.

Baker dominated and taunted Saraya’s brother at ringside. Back in the ring, Baker continued to control the match. Baker put on her trademark glove. Baker delivered another neckbreaker to Saraya in the center of the ring. On the outside, Saraya sent Baker into the apron. Saraya then leaped from the apron onto Baker. Saraya went for a cover in the ring, but Baker got her shoulder up. Saraya swung the momentum in her favor.

Saraya repeatedly stomped Baker in the corner of the ring. Saraya delivered the Knight Cap, but Baker kicked out of the pinfall attempt that followed. Baker fought her way back into the match. Baker connected with a stomp into the mat. Saraya countered Baker’s top rope move and turned it into a powerbomb. Baker and Saraya went back and forth and traded pinfall attempts. Saraya ultimately landed two big DDT’s to win.

Winner: Saraya

MATCH #6: TNT Championship Match:
Samoa Joe vs. Wardlow © vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
Wardlow sent Joe into the ring post on the outside. Hobbs got in on the action and sent Wardlow into the steel steps. In the ring, Hobbs lifted Wardlow and delivered a delayed vertical suplex. Hobbs sent Joe down with a shoulder tackle. Hobbs went back to work on Wardlow. Hobbs sent Joe to the floor. Joe returned and Hobbs sent him into the corner.

Wardlow used his athleticism and climbed the turnbuckles with his feet to take out Joe and Hobbs behind him in the ring. Wardlow delivered a Swanton to Hobbs in the center of the ring. Wardlow was sent to the outside. Joe took it to Hobbs. Wardlow returned to the ring and took out Hobbs and Joe. Wardlow and Hobbs fought on the outside. Joe dived through the ropes to take them out.

Hobbs threw his entire body into Joe, who collided with the barricade. Back in the ring, Hobbs took down his shoulder straps and delivered a spinebuster to Wardlow. Wardlow replied with two powerbombs to Hobbs. Wardlow landed a third powerbomb. Joe entered the ring and hit Wardlow with the TNT Championship. Joe choked out Hobbs to win the gold.

Winner and NEW AEW TNT Champion: Samoa Joe

BACKSTAGE: Tony Schiavone is with “The Ocho” Chris Jericho and Jake Hager, Chris says that Sammy fighting him was expected because gold was on the line and that’s why he kept him by his side for the last 3 years. Orange Cassidy is here and says Tomohiro Ishii wants a shot this Wednesday. Jericho says he still thinks of him as the young boy that got him coffee in Japan. Meanwhile, Jake Hager wants to know what’s in the backpack. It’s the All-Atlantic Championship of course. Does Hager like it? He does? Does he want to fight for it? He sure does. Cool? Cool.

MATCH #7: Tag Team Match:
Sting and Darby Allin vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett

Lethal was goaded up the entrance ramp and was attacked by Allin. In the ring, Sting appeared behind Jarrett. After the bell rang, Allin fought with Jarrett among the audience. Sting fought with Lethal in the crowd. Allin set up a ladder on the stage and attempted to Coffin Drop Jarrett. Allin was caught by Satnam Singh. Singh threw Allin onto the entrance ramp.

Sting continued to fight with Lethal around the venue. Sting dived from an elevated area onto Singh and Lethal. Jarrett took control of the match in the ring against Allin. Lethal was tagged in. Lethal and Allin collided heads. Sting entered and delivered splashes to Jarrett and Lethal in opposite corners. Dutt distracted Sting and Singh delivered a chokeslam.

Allin and Lethal fought as the legal men in the match. Jarrett grabbed his trademark guitar. Allin sent Lethal into Jarrett. Jarrett cracked the spine of Allin with the guitar as he attempted a Coffin Drop from the top turnbuckle. Allin fired up and went after Jarrett and Lethal. Singh entered the ring again. Sting and Allin took Singh down with a double team. Sting countered the Lethal Injection into a Scorpion Deathdrop. Allin connected with a Coffin Drop on Lethal to win.

Winners: Sting and Darby Allin 

MATCH #8: AEW Interim Women’s World Championship Match:
Toni Storm © vs. Jamie Hayter
Storm and Hayter locked up after the bell rang. Hayter took Storm down with a side headlock. Storm sent Hayter to the floor. Storm drove Hayter into the apron and then into the barricade. Hayter turned the tables and sent Storm into the barricade. Back in the ring, Hayter took control of the match. Hayter kept Storm grounded. Storm eventually returned to her feet and fought back. Storm connected with a Hip Attack in the corner.

The champion and the challenger traded strikes in the center of the ring. Storm headbutted Hayter. Storm fell on top of Hayter due to the power of the headbutt. Hayter kicked out of the unintended cover. Rebel headed down to the ring. Storm and Hayter traded strikes again. Storm’s nose was busted open. Rebel hit Storm with the title belt while she lay on the bottom rope. Hayter connected with a sliding lariat, but Storm kicked out of the cover that followed. The referee sent Rebel to the back. Storm landed her own lariat, but it wasn’t enough to retain the gold.

Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D. entered out of nowhere and attacked Storm at the ringside. Hayter thought she’d picked up the win inside the ring, but Storm kicked out of her cover. Storm hit Storm Zero. Storm sent Baker off the apron. Hayter connected with a Haytbreaker. Baker was sent off the apron again. Hayter sent Storm into the top turnbuckle exposed by Baker. Hayter picked up the victory with a big lariat.

Winner and NEW AEW Interim Women’s World Champion: Jamie Hayter

MATCH #9: AEW World Tag Team Championship Match:
Anthony Bowens and Max Caster © vs. Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee
The match immediately broke down. The Acclaimed sent Lee over the top rope. Caster delivered a dropkick and bodyslam to Strickland. Bowens was tagged in and delivered a leg drop to Strickland. Bowens worked on Strickland in the corner of the ring. Strickland and Lee took control of the match. Strickland sent Caster into the barricade on the floor. Strickland set up a barricade between the apron and the floor.

Bowens went to work on Lee in the center of the ring. Lee responded with a big chop to the chest to send Bowens down. Bowens suplexed Strickland on the floor. Lee worked on the injured shoulder of Bowens in the center of the ring. Lee and Strickland worked on Bowens in their corner. Bowens countered Lee by delivering a reversed hurricanrana. Caster was tagged in.

Caster delivered a leg drop to the back of Lee. Caster drove Strickland into the canvas. Bowens and Caster worked together. Bowens connected with a Cutter on Strickland. After Lee protected Strickland from going through the guardrail, Caster dived from the top turnbuckle to send Lee through it. In the ring, Strickland began to build momentum. Strickland connected with a flurry of kicks to the head of Bowens. Strickland went for a high-risk move and missed. Castor was tagged in and delivered an elbow to Strickland from the top. Lee broke up the cover at the last moment.

Lee was tagged in. Strickland and Lee combined, but Bowens kicked out of the cover that followed. Strickland sent Caster crashing over a table at ringside. Strickland picked up some pliers. Billy Gunn made his way down to the ring. Strickland gave Lee the pliers. Lee threw them out of the ring. Strickland slapped Lee. Lee pulled up Bowens and walked out on Strickland. Strickland was eventually driven into the mat as The Acclaimed retained the gold.

Winners: Anthony Bowens and Max Caster

MAIN EVENT: AEW World Championship:
Jon Moxley © vs. MJF
Moxley struck MJF in the face as soon as the bell rang. Moxley delivered a forearm shot to MJF and connected with a series of chops to the chest. MJF strutted in the middle of the ring after avoiding Moxley’s offense. Moxley was sent to the floor and MJF teased doing a dive. Moxley returned and sent MJF down. MJF turned the tables and stomped Moxley in the corner. Moxley leaped up and delivered lariat to MJF. The fans were behind MJF and against Moxley.

Moxley grounded MJF in the center of the ring. Moxley landed a Falcon Arrow and then applied a submission hold. Moxley continued to dominate. MJF rolled to the floor. Moxley picked up the AEW World Championship. MJF spat something into the eyes of Moxley. Moxley sent MJF into the steel steps. Back in the ring, MJF took Moxley down with a lariat. MJF began to build momentum. MJF repeatedly sent Moxley’s head into the top turnbuckle pad.

MJF exited the ring. The challenger moved the timekeeper’s table next to the ring. Moxley connected with a Cutter as MJF returned to the ring. MJF delivered a Tombstone to Moxley on the apron and hurt his knee. Moxley sent MJF through the table at ringside with a piledriver. Moxley went after the knee of MJF in the center of the ring and applied the figure-four leg lock. MJF turned the hold. MJF planted Moxley’s face into the canvas from the middle rope.

Moxley went back to work on MJF’s bad knee. Moxley went to the top turnbuckle. MJF grabbed the top rope and Moxley lost his balance. Moxley delivered a Paradigm Shift to MJF from the top. Moxley slapped MJF. The referee was knocked down and MJF pulled out his “Dynamite” Diamond Ring. Regal came to down to advise MJF to put the ring down. MJF put it down. Moxley began to choke MJF from behind. Another referee was knocked down. MJF taps when Moxley chokes him again, but there is no referee. Regal slipped brass knuckles to MJF. MJF used the brass knuckles on Moxley. MJF covered Moxley for the win.
