On Friday morning, December 26th 2008, Independent wrestler Roland Montgomery, known professionally as Rollin’ Hard was taken from us after a long battle with colon cancer. He is survived by his wife Angela and their two children, Autumn and Justus. He was just 34 years old when he passed.

Rollin’  Hard began his training in the mid-90s at “Nightmare Inc.” wrestling school that is run by “Nightmare” Danny Davis himself, but soon fell under the tutelage of Ian Rotten, who continued training him. He debuted for Rotten’s IWA organization in late 1996 under the moniker “Tornado  Taz”, but would start using the name “Trustworthy Taz” by year’s end. MATCH #1: One-On-One Match:
CM Punk vs. Dustin Rhodes

The two men shake hands to get things started, showcasing respect towards each other, and then they lock up. Dustin Rhodes then gets the better of the situation to start things off with a shoulder tackle, and a hip toss. CM Punk gets back into things himself, but it doesn’t take long for the veteran to slow things down with a few more hip tosses.

Punk manages to dump Dustin out of the ring by diving to the leg of his opponent, which leads to Rhodes spilling out of the ring. Inside the ring, Punk begins to target the knee of Dustin, stomping down on it while the leg is propped up on the bottom rope. Rhodes then picks up the pace with a few shots, but then Dustin’s leg gives up on him as he tries to lift up Punk.

The bodyslam doesn’t work and Punk drops back down to him. CM Punk then mocks the Goldust pose, which leads to a few more punches by Dustin. He looks for a roll-up, but Punk kicks out and then gets hit by a lariat. Punk then once again focuses on the … Read More

Pros & Cons Tag Team Edition: Squared Circle Expo 2 Review

While I’ve had the pleasure of attending several conventions and expo’s over the years, some of my favorite have been those shows that cater to a specific audience such as the horror scene for instance and last year I was able to attend my very first wrestling expo, Squared Circle Expo and it left me wondering how exactly were owners Adolfo Dorta & Ed Gonzales going to top what they produced last year and I’m very pleased to say they did exactly that.

Squared Circle Expo 2 took place at the same venue as the first SCX which was the Wyndham Indianapolis West Hotel, a rather familiar venue to locals in the convention scene as it tends to host several other conventions from horror cons to local shows and a space that really feels right at home for such an event as SCX2 as the setup was pretty much the same this time around as it was last year with the same large vendor area with what seemed to me even more vendors this year than there was the previous year.
