WrestleMania 39: Night 1 results from 04-01-2023

The WWE WrestleMania 39 Night 1 Premium Live Event opens up LIVE from a packed SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Singer and Inglewood native Becky G is in the ring with a mic. Mike Rome introduces her, then she performs “America The Beautiful” as the crowd stands. We now cut to the WrestleMania 39 cold open, narrated by actor/comedian Kevin Hart.

We’re now LIVE from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles as Michael Cole welcomes us. Cole says we’re sold out with more than 75,000 expected. Cole is joined at ringside by Corey Graves. We go right to the ring and WrestleMania host The Miz is in the ring with Celebrity Wing WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg. Miz gets everyone fired up and says he and Miz are the perfect tag team to kick off this show. Miz goes on about how they’re similar. Snoop asks if this means they’re the same. Miz says exactly the same. Snoop says it’s not about these two champions, it’s about the other champion. Miz agrees. Miz gets SoFi Stadium hyped up and goes over some of the card and says that’s just a small taste of how awesome this show will be. Miz calls on Snoop to get us started. “Let’s fire it up!,” Snoop says to a pop.

MATCH #1: WWE United States Championship Match:
John Cena vs. Austin Theory © vs. John Cena
We go right to the ring and out first comes WWE United States Champion Austin Theory. Graves marches down the long ramp to the ring. Corey Graves congratulates Michael Cole on calling his 22nd WrestleMania. Cole shows us the Spanish announce team at ringside – Marcelo Rodriguez and Jerry Soto. Theory finally gets to the ring and poses in the corner. Cole sends us to a video package on WWE’s work with Make-A-Wish. We come back and there are several Wish Kids on the stage. The crowd cheers them on. The music then hits and out comes veteran WWE Superstar John Cena to a big pop. Cena gets fired up with the Wish Kids, then gets the crowd to pop for them again. Cena says it’s time to go to work as he runs down the ramp to the ring.

The bell rings and they size each other up. They lock up and Theory applies a headlock. Cena drops Theory with a shoulder. They lock up again and Cena takes Theory down, then back up and down into a headlock. Fans do dueling chants for Cena now.

Cena drops Theory with another shoulder, and he’s frustrated. Cena takes it to the corner but has to back off. They lock up again and Theory bites at Cena, then retreats to the floor. Theory rushes back in and drops Cena from behind to boos. Theory with a back suplex for 2. Theory with another suplex for 2.

Theory keeps control and taunts Cena. Cena blocks a suplex and hits one of his own for a pop. Cena runs into a corner elbow. Theory with a jumping Blockbuster for 2. Theory poses in the corner to more boos. Theory with the rolling dropkick for a 2 count. Theory shows more frustration now. Cena blocks the rolling dropkick and goes for the STF in the middle of the ring as fans go wild.

Theory bites Cena’s fingers to break the hold. Theory keeps control and taunts fans, mocking Cena. Theory with big right hands now to knock Cena back down. Theory pins Cena with one boot on his chest but he kicks out with ease. Theory with a double stomp to boos. Theory drops Cena again and stomps. Cena blocks the next stomp and scoops Theory for the Attitude Adjustment but Theory blocks it and nails a DDT for 2.

Theory with more taunting and showing off but he misses in the corner. Cena mounts offense now until Theory applies a Sleeper in the middle of the ring. Cena begins to fade now as fans rally. Cena is down to one knee but he won’t give up. Cena powers up and rams Theory back into the turnbuckles. Cena with two flying shoulders, then the big slam.

Cena calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle and nails it. Cena goes for the AA again but Theory holds on to the top rope. The referee gets knocked down by Theory. Cena drops him into the STF and Theory taps but the referee is down. Theory with a low blow, then The ATL for the pin to retain in the middle of the ring.

Winner: Austin Theory

After the match: Theory stands tall as the music hits. We go to replays. Theory stands over Cena and raises the United States Championship in the air. Theory then heads up the ramp with the Championship held high.

MATCH #2: Fatal Four-Way Tag Team Match:
Braun Strowman and Ricochet vs. Erik and Ivar vs. Chad Gable and Otis vs. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins
Back from a break and WWE Ambassador Titus O’Neil is introduced for guest commentary. Out first Braun Strowman and Ricochet as Samantha Irvin does the ring introductions. The Viking Raiders are out next – Erik and Ivar with Valhalla. Alpha Academy is out next – Otis and Chad Gable. The Street Profits are out last – Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

Gable and Ricochet start things off. Ricochet with a quick 2 count. Gable with an early ankle lock. More back and forth between the two. Gable back-slides for 2, then kicks Ricochet in the gut and pauses to thank the crowd. Otis tags himself in, then nails a lariat on Ricochet for a pop.

Otis tags Gable back in for the double team. Gable taunts Braun but Braun tags in and faces off with Otis. Dawkins and Ivar comes in to face off with the other big men now. All tag teams are in now, and a big brawl breaks out. Erik and Ivar take out Braun, then Dawkins, then Gable. Ricochet flies at The Vikings but Ivar levels him. Ford attacks but The Vikings hit Ragnarok on him. Valhalla, Erik and Ivar pose together in the middle of the ring now. They turn around to Strowman, who runs over both of them with a double clothesline.

Gable tries to German suplex Braun but no way. Gable ends up hitting the rolling German to Braun for a close 2 count as fans pop big. Gable goes to the top but Dawkins tags in and shoves him to the mat. Dawkins goes to the top but Ivar shoves him to the mat to block his Swanton. Ivar is up top now as Valhalla directs traffic. Ivar with a big moonsault but Dawkins moves. Braun goes to the top now and hits a big flying splash to Ivar but everyone else rushes in to break up the 2 count.

Otis with a World’s Strongest Slam to Braun. Braun goes to the middle rope but Ford kicks him, then kicks Ricochet. Gable rocks Ford and climbs up. Erik climbs up next to him. Otis and Ivar have Gable and Erik on their shoulders with Ford in a big suplex position. Ricochet goes to the top and nails a crossbody to collapse the big five-man tower as fans go wild. Braun tags himself in, then knocks Dawkins to the floor.

The Strowman Express runs around the ring now, flattening opponents. Dawkins intercepts Strowman at ringside and levels him. Ricochet then flies off the top to the floor with a massive Shooting Star Press on Ricochet and Ivar a ringside. Ricochet goes back to the top for the Shooting Star but Dawkins gets his knees up. Ford then nails the big Frog Splash while Dawkins is holding Ricochet in place. Dawkins keeps the pin on Ricochet for the win.

Winners: Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins

After the match:  Ford and Dawkins stand tall as the music hits. We go to replays. The losing teams look on as The Profits begin their celebration.

BACKSTAGE: We see Xavier Woods is at the UpUpDownDown set with Liv Morgan, Butch, Ridge Holland, the former Tyler Breeze and one other guy. They simulate Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins on WWE 2K23 and Rollins wins. Woods sends us to a video package on Paul vs. Rollins now.

MATCH #3: One-On-One Match:
Logan Paul vs. Seth Rollins

We go back to the stage and Logan Paul asks Los Angeles if they missed him. The Birthday Boy calls on the crew to raise him up into the air. He says he got a zip-line for his birthday, then he zips to the middle of the ramp and gets off the zip-line. A life-size bottle of Paul’s Prime drink comes down the ramp now. Paul dances with the bottle and they finally head to the ring. Paul stops to greet his dad at ringside. A voice comes over the stadium and asks fans to turn their attention to the stage, where orchestra conductor Jasper Randall begins playing Rollins’ theme song with the crowd. Rollins then comes out with a huge robe and some bizarre pink gear. He struts down the long ramp as fans sing his song and Paul looks on.

Rollins stops and takes it all in as the music continues. The bell rings and thy lock up. Rollins shows Paul up. They taunt and waste some time, then lock up again. Rollins drops Paul with a shoulder. Rollins kicks Paul but misses the Stomp.

Paul kips-up and they face off now. They run the ropes some more and Paul tosses Rollins over the top rope to the floor. They fight back in and Paul stuns Rollins over the top rope. Paul with the Maverick Lariat in from the apron. Paul calls for the big right hand but he has to deliver body shots as Rollins sensed the punches.

Paul scoops Rollins to his shoulders but Rollins fights free. Rollins misses in the corner, then Paul springboards in with a crossbody, then a standing moonsault for 2. Paul with two more quick pin attempts out of frustration. Paul dominates some more until Rollins rocks him in the jaw. Paul ends up taking Rollins down into a scissor’s submission. Fans sing for Rollins. Rollins gets free but Paul elbows him away. Rollins with palm strikes but Paul hits a gutwrench suplex for 2.

Paul leaps up with a box jump to the top for a moonsault but lands hard after Rollins moves. Fans pop as Rollins unloads on Paul in the corner now. Rollins talks trash and sends Paul to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive into the barrier, then another for a pop. Rollins goes for the third suicide dive to a big pop.

Rollins stomps Paul’s hurt hand on the steel steps. Rollins brings it back in for the Pedigree but Paul counters. They trade pin attempts now. Paul connects with a big right hand out of nowhere and Rollins is laid out cold, down face-first on the mat. Paul crawls for the cover but Rollins kicks out. Paul charges but Rollins catches him in a sitdown powerbomb for a close 2 count. The life-size Prime bottle pulls Paul to safety. We see that it’s Paul’s business partner and former rival KSI. They fist bump. Rollins kicks Paul from the ring, then grabs KSI. Paul sends Rollins into the ring post to save KSI.

Paul puts Rollins on the Spanish announce table now. KSI films and taunts Rollins while Paul goes to the top turnbuckle. Paul prepares to fly but Rollins quickly moves and puts KSI in his place, so Paul hits the huge splash from the ring to the table on KSI instead. Rollins quickly brings Paul back into the ring for the Pedigree but Paul kicks out just in time. Everyone is shocked. Rollins is up first with the rolling elbow, then he drops Paul with a shot to the back of the neck.

Paul blocks the Stomp and turns it into a GTS in the middle of the ring. Paul goes back to the top and hits the big Frog Splash, but Rollins kicks out just in time. Paul is back up first now. Paul ends up going for Coast 2 Coast, but Rollins intercepts him in mid-air with a superkick. Rollins then nails the Curb Stomp for the pin to win.

Winner: Seth Rollins

After the match: Rollins stands tall as the music hits and fans begin singing his song. We go to replays. Rollins continues his celebration as Cole plugs Money in the Bank from London later this year while showing us riled up fans at a WrestleMania Watch Party in the UK, hosted by BT Sport apparently. Rollins plays to the crowd and heads up the ramp as Paul checks on KSI.

MATCH #4: Six-Woman Tag Team Match:
Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY vs. Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch
Back from the break and out comes Damage CTRL – Bayley, Dakota Kai and IYO SKY. We cut to a nice intro video, then come back to WWE Hall of Famers Trish Stratus and Lita, who is one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, making their entrances. WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Becky Lynch is out next. The trio poses together on the stage, then heads to the ring.

The two teams meet in the middle of the ring and start brawling. The babyfaces clear the ring and Becky nails a baseball slide to Kai. Becky brings Kai back in and they go at it. Kai blocks a Man-Handle Slam and hits a Scorpion Kick.

Bayley and Kai unload on Becky in the corner now. Bayley beats Becky down. SKY comes in and hits double knees to Becky. More back and forth between SKY and Lynch. SKY with a big springboard dropkick for 2. Lynch is triple teamed now. Kai covers for 2. Kai works Lynch and hits the running big boot for a 2 count.

Bayley comes back in and mocks Lita while keeping Lynch down. Kai tags in as Lynch sends Bayley to the floor, then kicks Kai down. Kai and SKY double team Lynch but she fights them off. Lynch looks to tag but they keep fighting. Lita finally tags in and goes to work. Lita with Vertigo on SKY for 2. We have some technical difficulties and come back to Bayley and SKY taking turns on Lita. Kai joins them, then covers for 2.

Damage CTRL keeps Lita in their corner. Lita counters and hits a double DDT on Bayley and SKY. Trish and Kai tag in and they go at it. Stratus with a Thesz Press and punches. Trish taunts Bayley and chops Kai. Bayley runs in but Trish takes them both down, then drops Kai with a neckbreaker for 2. Trish runs into an elbow from Kai. We have more technical difficulties but come back to Trish taking out all three at ringside, then bringing Kai back in for a Spinebuster for 2.

Lita tags in and hits Poetry In Motion on Kai. Lynch tags in and splashes Kai for 2, then goes right into the Dis-Arm-Her, which is eventually broken by Bayley. Bayley dropkicks Trish to the floor. Bayley taunts Lynch and gets rocked. Bayley decks Lynch but the Rose Plant is countered with a back suplex. Bayley blocks the Man-Handle Slam, then SKY nails a cheap shot while the referee has his back turned.

Bayley hits the Rose Plant, but Lita breaks the pin up. They all keep fighting and Trish hits Stratusfaction but Bayley slams her from behind. Lynch rolls Bayley for 2. Lynch and Bayley tumble to the floor now. SKY goes up top for a big moonsault to everyone else at ringside. Everyone makes it back in just before the 10 count. Trish and Bayley seem to be legal.

Lita and Kai tag in but now both teams come in and start brawling. SKY is dropped with a Twist of Fate, then Kai takes the Chick Kick. Lita with the Litasault to SKY and Kai at once. Bayley takes Lynch to the top for the super Bayley-to-Belly, but Lynch turns it into the super Man-Handle Slam for the pin to win.

Winners: Trish Stratus, Lita and Becky Lynch

After the match: The babyfaces stand tall as the music hits. We go to replays. Damage CTRL regroups as Trish, Lita and Becky celebrate.

Back from a break and we get a video for the next match.

MATCH #5: One-On-One Match:
Dominik Mysterio vs.
Rey Mysterio
We go back to the ring and Bad Bunny gets a big pop as he joins the Spanish announcers for commentary on this match. A video starts up of Dominik Mysterio in jail. He’s escorted out of his cell by guards, then into a waiting police van. We now hear sirens inside the stadium. Two police motorcycles comes riding in from the side of the ramp, leading the way for the police van, which is backing in by the entrance ramp. We see Dominik Mysterio sitting there in the backseat with his hands cuffed, and a hoodie on. Dominik exits the van and shows us that he has one of his father’s masks on. Dominik is then escorted to the ring by the police. They finally un-cuff him after he removes the mask. Dominik hits the ring and poses now. The camera cuts backstage to 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio riding in a car with Celebrity WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg as Snoop’s “Nuthin’ but a ‘G’ Thang” plays. The car comes driving in from the side as “Lie, Cheat, Steal” starts playing. Rey hops out of Snoop’s car and heads down the entrance ramp to ring as his 619 song starts playing. Snoop cheers Rey on as he hits the ring to pose.

Father and son meet in the middle of the ring for a face-off. The bell rings and Dominik his first, then taunts his dad. Back and forth early on. Rey sends Dominik to the floor to shock him. Dominik comes back in and they get aggressive now.

Dominik drops Rey with a shoulder. Rey sends his son flying to shock him again. Dominik slaps his dad but gets sent into the middle turnbuckle head-first. Angie cheers Rey on from the front row as Rey starts spanking Dominik. Fans pop big as Dominik scrambles to ringside to yell at his mom and sister.

Dominik tosses a drink into the face of his sister, and she tries to attack over the barrier. Rey rushes out to stop her, but Dominik drops his dad from behind. Dominik brings it back in with the senton from the apron for a 2 count. Dominik grounds his father and taunts him now. Rey mounts some offense but Dominik rocks him with a forearm, then a deep arm drag. Dominik with the Michinoku Driver for 2.

Dominik keeps control and taunts his family some more. He tells his mom to shut up and she slaps him. Rey then sends Dominik into the ring post face-first. Rey kisses his wife, then brings Dominik back in for the seated senton and a crossbody for 2. They tangle and Rey nails the Sunset Bomb for another close 2 count.

It was announced earlier that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is sponsoring this match. Rey looks to keep going but Finn Balor and Damian Priest are at ringside to distract Rey. Rey charges but Dominik launches him face-first into the middle turnbuckle. Rey kicks out at 2. Dominik with the Three Amigos now but Rey blocks the third and drops Dominik for the 619. Rey nails it for a big pop. Balor distracts the referee while Priest pulls Rey off the top. Dominik takes advantage and decks his dad. Dominik launches Rey into the opposite corner and works him over. Rey causes them to tumble to the floor and they’re both down.

Legado del Fantasma runs down and fights off Balor and Priest as they stalk Rey while he’s down. Priest takes out Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde but Santos Escobar flies over and sends Priest into the announce tables. Dominik with a big lariat to Rey now. Dominik hits 619 on his dad to boos. Dominik goes to the top for the big Frog Splash but Rey kicks out just in time to a big pop.

Dominik exposes the top turnbuckle now while Rey is down. The referee stops him, and they have words. Dominik is now pulling a chain out of the opposite corner, which Priest hid there for him. Bad Bunny rushes over and takes the chain from Dominik, then Rey dropkicks Dominik and hits 619. Rey goes to the top for the big Frog Splash to Dominik for the pin to win.

Winner: Rey Mysterio

After the match: The music hits and Rey begins his celebration as the music hits, and we go to replays. Rey helps his wife and daughter into the ring now to continue the celebration. Dominik, Balor and Priest look on from the ramp as Rey celebrates with his wife and daughter.

Back from the break and the announcers hype WWE Backlash from Puerto Rico. We get a look at how the WrestleMania Watch Party in Germany and how they popped for WrestleMania at 4:20 in the morning.

We get a video package for the next match, then come back to NFL star George Kittle in the front row.

MATCH #6: WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Match:
Charlotte Flair © vs. Rhea Ripley
We go back to the ring and out first comes Rhea Ripley. SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair is out next. Flair marches down the ramp and poses to the pyro. Flair continues her long entrance as Ripley stares her down from the corner. We get formal ring introductions from Samantha Irvin now.

The bell rings and they stare each other down. They stall some for a minute or two, then finally lock up and aggressively tangle. Flair with a headlock. Flair keeps control but Ripley shoulders her to the mat. Ripley blocks a hip toss, then nails a shoulder.

Flair sends Ripley out to the floor, but the referee counts as she slowly comes back in. Ripley and Flair have words. Flair with a big chop, then more strikes between the two. Flair ends up hitting a top rope crossbody but Rhea elbows her and they keep trading offense. Ripley has Flair on her shoulders now, then she launches her face-first into the top turnbuckle.

Ripley stomps away to keep Flair down. More back and forth. Ripley starts dominating and launches Flair face-first into the ring post. Ripley keeps control and slams Flair face-first. Ripley with a body scissors now. Ripley mounts Flair’s back and clubs her with strikes. They get back up and Ripley takes down Flair for more stiff strikes to keep her down. Ripley takes her time and drops Flair on her neck for another 2 count.

Flair mounts some offense now, sending Ripley face-first into the top turnbuckle. Flair smirks and unloads with clotheslines now. Flair unloads with big chops and more offense in the corner. Flair works the leg over now. Flair gets dumped to the apron, but she runs Ripley face-first into the ring post. Flair goes to the top as fans do dueling chants. Flair flies but Ripley rolls through and stands up with her. Flair blocks Riptide and turns it into a tornado DDT for another DDT.

Flair is a bit frustrated now. Ripley blocks the Figure Four and cradles Flair for 2. They both collide and go down in the middle of the ring as fans cheer them on. They get to their feet and trade big strikes now. Ripley stomps the foot and nails a jawbreaker. Flair counters and launches Ripley over her head. Flair finally kips-up to show that she is still in it. Flair keeps control and insults Ripley, then goes to the top for a moonsault. Ripley jumps up but gets sent back to the mat. Ripley rushes back up and hits a huge super German suplex, dropping Flair face-first into the mat. Flair still kicks out and people are shocked.

Flair with a chop block to the knee, then Natural Selection. Ripley kicks out just in time, rolling to the floor under the bottom rope. They go to the floor and Flair tries for a Spear, but Ripley side-steps and Flair hits the steel ring steps. Ripley brings it back in and drops Flair on her face for a close 2 count. Ripley talks trash and goes for Riptide but Flair counters with a German suplex. Ripley still gets up first. Flair with another German. They trade strikes and counters as they tangle, and Ripley nails a massive German now, smashing Flair face-first into the mat again.

Fans chant “this is awesome!” now. They trade punches, then Flair nails a big boot for 2. Ripley blocks the Figure Four and nails a forearm. Flair runs and knocks Ripley off the apron with another big boot. Flair goes up top for the moonsault to the floor, nailing it to take Ripley back down at ringside. Flair brings Ripley back in, but Ripley blocks the Figure Four again. Ripley side-steps the Spear and Flair puts on the brakes to avoid hitting the referee. Ripley headbutts Flair and then nails Riptide for a close 2 count. Ripley can’t believe it, the crowd is shocked.

Flair counters Ripley and cradles her for 2. Ripley with the Prism Lock now in the middle of the ring. Flair goes for the bottom rope and finally breaks the hold. Ripley is sent into the referee, but she turns around to a Spear by Flair. Ripley kicks out and everyone is shocked. They unload on each other with back & forth strikes now as fans count along. Ripley with a kick. Flair with a kick to drop Ripley. Flair with the Figure Four now. Ripley grabs the bottom rope before she can bridge.

Flair sits up on her knees and talks to herself. Flair rocks Ripley into the ring post. Flair brings Ripley up for a superplex but stops to chop her instead. Ripley sends Flair face-first into the top of the ring post and her body goes limp. Ripley climbs up for a super Riptide for the pin to win the Championship.

Winner and NEW SmackDown Women’s Champion: Rhea Ripley

After the match: Ripley stands tall as the music hits, and we go to replays. Ripley raises the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the air as the pyro explodes. Flair looks on and mouths to Ripley that she deserved it. Cole shows us a WrestleMania Watch Party in Australia, where it’s around 1am on Sunday, and how they reacted to Ripley’s win. Ripley continues her big celebration with the Championship in the air.

BACKSTAGE: Byron Saxton is with Austin Theory, asking about his win over John Cena. Theory says he said it, he did it, and he made Cena believe. Do you believe in Theory now? He laughs and walks off.

The Miz and Snoop Dogg are in the ring to announce 80,497 fans in attendance tonight. Snoop says the only thing better would be if Miz had a match tonight. Miz is confused. Snoop repeats himself. Miz says he issued an open challenge earlier, but everyone is scared of him because they know he’s the toughest in the stadium because he’s The Miz and he’s awesome! The music interrupts and out comes Pat McAfee to a big pop. McAfee greets the fans and Snoop. McAfee faces Miz now and says none of us saw your open challenge but there’s good news… this is my WrestleMania tank top. McAfee proposes a match and fans pop. Miz asks fans if they want to see it and they do, so does Cole. Miz would love to beat McAfee but he’s the host and can’t make matches. McAfee gets a “tiny balls!” chant going. McAfee says if Miz can’t make it official, one of these 80,497 people can. Snoop speaks up and makes the match official.

MATCH #7: One-On-One Match:
Pat McAfee vs. The Miz

The Miz pleads with Snoop Dogg as the bell rings. Snoop leaves as McAfee stalks Miz. Miz turns around to right hands. McAfee poses for a pop. McAfee with a Spinebuster. McAfee takes Miz to the top but gets kicked away. Miz ends up leaving but jabs at NFL star George Kittle at ringside.

McAfee distracts the referee while Kittle hops the barrier to clothesline Miz. Kittle encourages McAfee to go to the top and he does, then flies to drop Miz at ringside. McAfee and Kittle celebrate, then McAfee brings Miz in to finish him off with the big Punt kick for the pin to win.

Winner: Pat McAfee

After the match: McAfee celebrates for a big pop.

Back from more commercials and we get a video package for tonight’s main event.

MAIN EVENT: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
We go back to the stage and rapper Lil Uzi Vert performs a rendition of his “I Just Wanna Rock” single and then he joins Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos on the stage as they pose together. Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso now head to the ring for the main event now. Out next comes Kevin Owens for his team. Owens is fired up as he paces around on the stage. Out next comes Sami Zayn to another pop. Zayn joins Owens and they head to the ring together as fans sing along. We get formal ring introductions from Mike Rome.

Zayn and Jimmy start off bu they’re having words as fans are riled up. Jey tags in and now he will be the one to start. Jey and Sami face off with a few words. Jey with a headlock to start, then a shoulder to drop him. Jey raises his finger to Sami to taunt him.

They lock up again and Jey applies the headlock. Sami tackles Jey and mounts him with punches for a pop. Jimmy tags in and they double team Sami, sending him to land on the floor hard. Jimmy follows and sends Sami into the ring post. Jey drops Sami at ringside. The Usos try to lure Owens over, taunting him. Jey with a suplex to Sami on the floor. The Usos take turns on Sami.

Owens cheers him on but Jimmy rocks him on the apron. Jey tags back in and levels Sami for 2. Jey grounds Sami now. The Usos end up on the floor. Owens tags in and hits a big senton from the top on both champions on the floor. Owens unloads on Jey and Jimmy now, binging Jey back in and hitting a Frogsplash from the apron to Jimmy on the floor. Owens goes to the top for a big Frogsplash on Jey for 2. Jey ends up blocking the Stunner and hitting a big neckbreaker.

More back and forth now. Owens goes for a senton, but Jey gets his knees up. Jimmy then follows up with a Uso splash, but Owens kicks out at 2. Sami with an apron Brainbuster to Jey before Owens hits the Swanton on Jimmy but he kicks out.

Sami uses the Uso splash, but Uso kicks out. Jimmy blocks the Blue Thunderbomb. Sami then tries again and hits the Thunderbomb on Jimmy, but Jey is legal now. Jey levels Sami with a big kick for 2. Jey with a big superkick to Sami. Jimmy nails one of his own, then Jey again. The Usos nail a double superkick to Sami, but Owens breaks the pin, so they double superkick him next. The Usos with another double superkick to Sami but he kicks out.

Sami is dazed in the middle of the ring as they nail another double superkick, but he still kicks out. They go for the 1D, but Owens pulls Jimmy to the floor and slams his head into the table over and over. Owens climbs up on the table to slam Jimmy through it, but Jey saves him. They superkick Owens on top of the Spanish announce table now, then they double chokeslam him through the main announce table. The Usos stand on top of the Spanish table and taunt Owens, who is laid out in table debris. The Usos go back in and hit Sami with the 1D, but he kicks out. The crowd goes wild and The Usos can’t believe it.

The Usos yell at Sami and ask him why he won’t just quit. Jey slaps him around in the corner over and over as the referee warns him. Jey man-handles Sami and he’s barely standing in the corner. Jey delivers a Helluva Kick to Sami, hitting him with his own move. Jey with more trash talking to Sami’s face. Sami launches Jey into the corner with an Exploder out of nowhere as fans pop. Owens is back on the apron now. Sami tags him and he nails Jimmy with a Pop-Up Powerbomb, then one to Jey.

Owns and Sami are fired up now. Sami with a Helluva Kick to Jimmy. Owens with a Stunner to Jey for a close 2 count as he kicks out. Cole and the fans go wild. Owens helps Sami to his feet while The Usos are also getting back up. The two teams face off to a big pop. They start brawling now in the middle of the ring. Owens unloads on Jey while Jimmy superkicks Sami down. Owens superkicks Jimmy, then Jey. Owens misses a Pop-Up Powerbomb to Jey. The Usos with superkicks to Owens, then a double superkick. Sami is double superkicked off the apron.

Jey drags Owens into position. Jimmy and Jey both go up top and hit stereo Uso splashes to Owens. Jey covers but Owens kicks out and no one believe it. Jey leans Owens up in the corner, then The Usos double superkick him to drop him in the corner. Jimmy says it’s time for a big one. They take Owens to the top but Sami pulls Jimmy to the floor and tosses him over the announce table. Owens slams Jey to the mat from up top with a super Brainbuster. Sami is back up on the apron waiting for the tag as the crowd goes wild.

Sami tags in and stares Jey down, then nails the Helluva Kick in the opposite corner. Sami grabs Jey’s face and says a few words, then nails another Helluva Kick. Jimmy runs in but Owens intercepts him with a Stunner. Sami waits in the corner and delivers a third Helluva Kick to Jey for the pin to win the Tag Team Championships.

Winners and NEW Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions: Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn

After the match: Sami’s music hits as the crowd goes wild and we go to replays. Owens is shocked. Sami and Owens take their titles and celebrate now as fans sing along with Sami’s theme. Pyro explodes around the stadium as Cole hypes up Night 2 of WrestleMania 39. Owens and Zayn raise their Championships up as Night 1 goes off the air with a video of highlights.
