Tonight’s WWE RAW opens up on the USA Network with a quick look back at The Bloodline’s promo from WWE SmackDown on Friday. We’re now live from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas as Corey Graves welcomes us. He’s joined at ringside by Jimmy Smith and Byron Saxton.
We go right to the ring and out comes Brock Lesnar to a big pop as Mike Rome does the introduction.
The announcers hype Lesnar vs. Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the Last Man Standing match at SummerSlam. Fans cheer Lesnar on as the music stops. Lesnar says God bless Texas and the crowd pops. He says with an intro like that, it’d be rude for him to leave his cowboy hat on this evening, so he will show us some manners – he hangs the hat on the ring post. Lesnar says we just saw how life is good for Reigns. Fans boo. Lesnar says Reigns has been living high on the hog since WrestleMania – flying on private jets, living like a king. Lesnar recalls a saying that started in Texas – pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered. Lesnar addresses Reigns and says he’s a hog, and Lesnar slaughters hogs on his farm… every single day. Lesnar says at SummerSlam, The Tribal Hog is going to get a country ass kicking to the likes he’s never seen.
Paul Heyman interrupts on the mic and out he comes to the stage. Fans boo. Heyman says we on The Island of Relevancy are booing as well. Lesnar says speaking of hogs… Heyman says that’s not downright Texas neighborly of Lesnar. A “you suck!” chant starts up now. Heyman says despite their differences, Lesnar does not suck. Heyman goes to speak but Lesnar interrupts and insults Heyman again by referring to him as a pig, asking if he’s going to say anything worthwhile. Heyman says we’ve gone from the biggest WrestleMania of all-time to the most barbaric SummerSlam, and that plays right into Lesnar’s hands. Heyman mentions how a betting man would pick Lesnar to win, because Reigns defines his greatness by athletically smashing the competition, while Lesnar’s legacy has been defined by breaking people’s necks, conquering Streaks, and so on. Heyman goes on about how Lesnar doesn’t care if it takes 10 seconds to keep Reigns down, or if he sends Reigns to the hospital or morgue, because he’s a beast, a hog-slaughter, an annihilator, a vengeant badass who wants revenge against Heyman’s Tribal Chief. Heyman says Reigns is approaching 700 days as champion and that is one Streak that Lesnar will not conquer because he will have Reigns ready for Lesnar at SummerSlam, to put Lesnar down. Heyman says if he has to train Reigns to stick his hand up Lesnar’s ass and pull out his heart, through that hole, then that is what his Tribal Chief is going to do to something like Lesnar.
Lesnar goes to speak but the music interrupts and out comes Theory with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Theory says SummerSlam will be one of the greatest nights in WWE history as he takes back his United States Championship from Bobby Lashley, then sits back and watches this match of mass destruction. Theory says he will then walk, not run, down to the ring, cash in his MITB contract and either put his foot on Lesnar’s chest or Reigns’ chest, then the announcer will introduce him as the new, youngest Undisputed WWE Universal Champion of the world. Fans boo.
Lesnar invites Theory to the ring for a fight and fans cheer. Theory, speaking from the platform next to the stage, says it doesn’t matter who wins at SummerSlam because they’re both talking like the outcome will be life changing. Theory has some footage that shows how Lesnar doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. We see how Lesnar launched Theory off the Elimination Chamber pod with a F5 earlier this year. Theory says that footage could be Reigns, just a heap of human flesh, emotion-less, but that footage wasn’t just for Heyman to warn Reigns with, it was also to show Lesnar that Theory didn’t forget. Alpha Academy appears at ringside now. Lesnar says he comes to RAW and all the cockroaches show up. Lesnar smiles as he and Otis stare each other down. Otis hops in the ring and faces off with Lesnar.
Theory orders Chad Gable and Otis to attack. Gable with a chop block to Lesnar’s knee form behind. Otis knocks him into the corner but he’s still standing and smiling. Lesnar levels Otis and launches Gable with a big suplex, sending him to the floor. Lesnar clotheslines Otis to the floor now. Lesnar follows and grabs half of the steel ring steps, then takes turns destroying Gable and Otis with them. Theory looks on as Lesnar grabs a steel chair, and smacks Gable with it twice, then one to Otis to keep him down. Lesnar with a huge suplex to Gable on the floor. Otis approaches but Lesnar puts him through the announce table with a big F5 as fans go wild.
The music hits as Lesnar stands tall and we go to replays. Lesnar puts his cowboy hat back on and enters the ring, nodding up to Heyman and Theory as they look on. Lesnar continues playing to the crowd from the ring as they cheer him on.
The announcers hype tonight’s show while Otis is still laid out in the announce table debris at ringside. Theory will team with Seth Rollins to take on Lashley and Riddle. Bianca Belair will defend the RAW Women’s Title against Carmella.
MATCH #1: One-On-One Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Finn Balor
We go back to the ring and out comes The Mysterios – Rey Mysterio with Dominik Mysterio. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and out comes The Judgment Day – Finn Balor with Damian Priest. They hit the ring and Priest takes the mic, calling on everyone to rise. Priest yells for everyone to rise this time, ordering them to show proper respect to The Judgment Day. Fans boo. Priest says what happened last week to The Mysterios was justice, justice to the old guard and how things used to be. Priest says Rey will be celebrating his 20th anniversary in WWE in a few weeks at Madison Square Garden. Priest says face it, Rey is done, he’s a wash, it’s over. Priest says Rey has nothing else to offer Dominik, no wisdom or strength, just an ugly mask and some old, tired, circus-like tricks that aren’t even Dominik’s, but The Judgment Day has more to offer to Dominik, a whole new set of rules. Priest says the future of this business will be decided by The Judgment Day and Dominik is welcome to join is. Priest tells Dominik to step out of his father’s shadow, blaze his own path, and rise with The Judgment Day, or continue to fall alongside your father. Balor says Dominik needs to start seeing things like them.
Balor mocks Rey and says we all saw what happened to another legend. Balor shows us how WWE Hall of Famer Edge was booted from the group last month. Balor says Edge is gone and not coming back because he was a bad leader. Balor says not only is Rey a bad leader, he’s a bad father. Fans continue to boo. Rey talks with Dominik, then kicks Balor down out of nowhere. Priest charges and they take him out. The Mysterios double team Balor now but Priest pulls him to the floor to safety. Rey’s music starts back up as he and Dominik embrace. The match is up next. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and Rey is going at it with Balor. Rey sends Balor to the floor with a hurricanrana, then launches himself over the top with a crossbody for a big pop. Rey brings it back in but Balor catches him with a backbreaker for a 2 count.
Balor with forearms to the back while Rey is face-down now. Balor with a Crossface as Dominik cheers his dad on. Balor with an elbow drop to the back for a 2 count. Balor sends Rey face-first into the corner, then hits him with shoulder thrusts to the back. Balor with another backbreaker for a 2 count. Balor grounds Rey with a headlock now. Rey fights up and out but Balor knees him and nails a suplex. Balor holds the suplex and clubs Rey back to the mat with a forearm.
Balor tries to run Rey face-first into the ring post, but it’s blocked. Rey jumps to the top for a moonsault but Balor knocks his knee out and Rey hits hard on the mat. Balor focuses on the hurt knee and leg now. Dominik approaches at ringside but Balor warns him. Balor rolls Rey back in but Rey dropkicks him through the ropes. Rey runs the ring and slides under the bottom rope to hit the big Sunset Bomb, sending Balor into the barrier. We go to commercial.
Back from the break and Rey cuts Balor off on the top. Rey launches Balor to the mat with a big hurricanrana for a close 2 count. Rey rocks Balor with an enziguri, sending him into position for the 619. Rey hits it but he’s limping to the top now. Rey climbs up and goes for the big splash but it’s dodged for the most part.
Rey rolls Balor over for a 2 count. Rey fights back from the apron but Balor scoops him and drops him with the inverted DDT. Rey kicks out at 2 and Balor is frustrated. Balor drops Rey with another DDT and then he goes up top. Balor nails Coup de Grace for the pin to win.
Winner: Finn Balor
After the match: The music hits as Balor sits up and Dominik comes in to check on his dad. Balor and Priest try to talk Dominik into joining them but he’s only worried about Rey. Balor and Priest stand tall with their arms in the air.
The announcers hype the RAW Women’s Title match but the music interrupts and out comes Becky Lynch instead. Back to commercial.
MATCH #2: RAW Women’s Championship Match:
Bianca Belair © vs. Carmella
Back from the break and Becky Lynch is standing on top of the announce table. She admits she kind of lost her mind after she didn’t win Money in the Bank. But then she sat by herself and realized SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan had her success by pretty much winning a lottery. Becky snaps and says she doesn’t need to win a lottery because she works her ass off every week for a paycheck. She recalls winning the No Holds Barred match over Asuka last week and says that should’ve made her the #1 contender, but no Carmella is getting the rematch. Becky goes on and says she really should’ve gotten the rematch the night after WrestleMania 38 but she is being forced to jump through hoops to get back to the top and get back what’s hers. Becky doesn’t care who wins tonight because she is demanding a title match at SummerSlam. Lynch slams the mic as the music hits and out comes RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair. Lynch stares ahead from ringside and then starts ranting some more. Out next comes Carmella. We see how she attacked Belair after their match at Money in the Bank.
The bell rings and Belair ducks Carmella, then rams her into the corner as Lynch takes a seat at ringside. Belair with a thrust in the corner as the referee counts and warns her. Carmella drops Belair and talks some trash now. Carmella charges but Belair clotheslines her. Belair takes it to the floor and sends Carmella face-first into the announce table while taunting Lynch. RAW goes to commercial while Lynch and Belair have words at ringside.
Back from the break and Carmella has Belair grounded in a headlock. Belair fights up and out. Carmella goes for a head-scissors takedown but it’s blocked and turned into a backbreaker. Belair runs into a big boot in the corner. Carmella with the Octopus submission in the corner now. Carmella goes to the top and hits a crossbody for a 2 count. Carmella comes right back with a cradle for a 2 count. Carmella dropkicks Belair from behind, sending her face-first into the bottom turnbuckle. Carmella goes to the top for another crossbody but this time Belair catches her in mid-air, then powers up to hoist her into a vertical suplex. Belair is slow to capitalize but she goes to work on Carmella now, taking her from corner to corner, then unloading with kicks. They tangle some more and Carmella rolls Belair up with a counter of the Glam Slam. More back and forth now.
Belair goes for the standing moonsault but Carmella grabs her foot. Belair tries again and Carmella gets her knees up. Carmella superkicks Belair for a close 2 count. A shocked Carmella can’t believe it. Carmella waits for Belair to get up now. Belair blocks a superkick and lifts Carmella, dropping her face-first into the turnbuckle. They go on and Carmella ends up blocking the KOD and turning it into the big Facebuster on the way down. Belair still kicks out and Carmella can’t believe it.
A frustrated Carmella wastes some time but works Belair over in the corner now, hitting her with back elbows. Belair turns it around with thrusts in the corner. Carmella blocks a powerbomb in the middle of the ring but Belair levels her with a clothesline. Belair botches a Spinebuster but covers for another close 2 count. Carmella ducks Belair to the floor as she charges. Carmella kicks Belair back but Carmella sweeps her face-first into the apron.
Belair goes back to the top but Carmella crawls away, out the other side of the ring to the floor. Carmella blocks Belair at ringside, claws at her eyes, but Belair shoves her into the ring post. Belair rolls Carmella back in at the 8 count. Lynch runs over and has words with Belair. Belair gets counted out but still retains the RAW Women’s Championship.
Winner: Carmella
After the match: The music hits as Lynch heads up the ramp. Belair returns to the ring and Carmella is celebrating with the RAW Women’s Championship. Belair attacks and drops Carmella with a KOD in the middle of the ring. Belair’s music starts up as she celebrates now while Graves tends to his wife at ringside.
We see what happened last week with The Miz, Ciampa and AJ Styles.
We go back to the ring and out comes The Miz for another must see episode of MizTV. Miz stops on the stage and waves out his guest – Ciampa. They head to the ring together as we go back to commercial.
Back from the break and we get another look at the new vignette that has been airing for a mystery talent or a returning Superstar. We go back to the ring and The Miz welcomes us to MizTV. He praises Ciampa and introduces him, then welcomes him to the show. Miz asks Ciampa if he has an explanation for his actions. Ciampa says it’s simple, he wants the eyes of the world on him and no one commands the people’s attention more than The Miz. Miz agrees and brags about his hit “Miz & Mrs.” show. Miz takes credit for turning Logan Paul into a WWE Superstar and giving him a WrestleMania 38 win over The Mysterios. Ciampa says that’s what he wants – a WrestleMania win, a SummerSlam win, he wants it all. Miz says that is what we all want.
Miz asks if Paul thanked him? No. He responded with this – we see Paul’s Twitter video from the weekend, where he said he wants nothing to do with teaming with The Miz, then warned that he is coming for Miz at SummerSlam. Miz says he knows what Paul is doing – stirring up the controversy, getting people talking. That is what they do and when done together, no one does it better than us, Miz says. Miz says he’s giving Paul one last chance to retract his statement so that they can become Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, or else… Miz will find someone else, and he doesn’t have to look very far. Miz says tonight they will teach AJ Styles a lesson and show the world what chemistry is.
The music interrupts and out comes AJ. AJ tells Miz to do everyone a favor and shut his mouth. AJ says no one cares what Miz or Ciampa has to say, especially AJ. AJ says the facts are, they keep attacking him when he turns his back and all Miz did was get someone to do his dirty work. AJ is about to do the “tiny balls” joke but Miz yells at him. Ciampa yells at the fans and covers Miz’s ears. AJ says coward instead, but then says “coward with tiny, tiny balls” and Miz seethes. Fans start the chant as Ciampa and Miz yell at the crowd. AJ goes in and sends Miz and Ciampa retreating to the floor as he tosses parts of the set at them. The music interrupts and out comes Ezekiel. He apologizes to AJ but says he realized as long as he’s been on RAW, he hasn’t had a chance to introduce himself.
Ezekiel introduces himself as the younger brother of Elias. He recalls how Elias praised these as strong competitors, and says his brother was stuck on the fact that… Miz has tiny balls. Ezekiel says he talked to Adam Pearce, and they agreed that this would be a lot more Zeke’d up if this were a tag team match. That is, if AJ will be his tag team partner tonight. Ezekiel offers his hand and AJ finally shakes it. Graves says this is a travesty as Miz agreed to a Handicap Match. We go to commercial as the two teams get ready to face off.
MATCH #3: Tag Team Match: The Miz and Ciampa vs. AJ Styles and Ezekiel Back from the break and Ezekiel is going at it with Ciampa as AJ Styles and The Miz look on. Ciampa turns it around out of the corner but Ezekiel nails a donkey kick. Ezekiel runs into a big boot. Miz tags in but Zeke launches him with a hip toss.
AJ tags in and takes over on Miz now. Miz kicks AJ but AJ dropkicks him back. Fans chant for AJ as he works Miz over in the corner now. Ezekiel tags back in to keep Miz near their corner. Miz takes Ezekiel right to their corner and in comes Ciampa. Ciampa runs the ropes and Ezekiel launches him up, then down to the mat.
Ezekiel tosses Ciampa across the ring now, then charges in the corner but Ciampa gets his back elbow up. Miz drops Ezekiel with a cheap shot. Ciampa charges with a running knee to knock Zeke off the apron to the floor. Ciampa follows to the floor and rams Ezekiel head-first into the barrier.
Ciampa and Miz play to the crowd for boos. Ciampa rolls Ezekiel back into the ring but Zeke fights back from his knees. Ciampa tosses Ezekiel through the ropes to the floor. Miz tags in and keeps control of Ezekiel on the floor, slamming him face-first into the announce table. Miz hulks up and yells out at ringside as we go back to commercial.
Back from the break and Miz hits the backbreaker/neckbreaker combo on Ezekiel for a 2 count. Ciampa tags back in and they double team Ezekiel. Miz shows off to the crowd for boos. Ciampa grounds Zeke with a headlock now. More back and forth now. Ciampa rolls Zeke for 2 but Zeke comes right back with a jumping knee strike to drop Ciampa. He kicks out at 2. Ciampa and Ezekiel both crawl for tags now. AJ runs in and levels Miz with clotheslines. They brawl and AJ hits a clothesline.
AJ with more big offense as fans cheer him on. AJ with a flying clothesline in the corner, then a Gutbuster for a close 2 count. AJ and Miz tangle with pin attempts now. Miz drops AJ with a big DDT for a close 2 count. Miz wastes some time now, stalking AJ. AJ blocks the Skull Crushing Finale with Ushigoroshi for a close 2 count as Ciampa makes the save just in time. Zeke runs in and takes Ciampa to the floor, then the announce table. Miz dropkicks Ezekiel back down.
Miz and AJ tangle again, and AJ avoids a corner splash. AJ rolls Miz into the Calf Crusher but Ciampa rushes back in and mounts AJ with aggressive punches. The referee calls the match and the bell rings.
Winners by Disqualification: AJ Styles and Ezekiel
After the match: Ciampa helps Miz to his feet at ringside. AJ launches himself from the ring to the floor with a Phenomenal Forearm, but he only takes Ciampa down as Miz escapes. Miz looks on from the stage as AJ yells at him from ringside.
BACKSTAGE: Riddle approaches WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley. They’re looking forward to shutting up Theory and Seth Rollins later tonight. Lashley mentions retaining over Theory at WWE SummerSlam, and Riddle asks if Lashley wants to watch Stranger Things tonight. Lashley has already seen it, so he’s going to get ready for the match. Riddle tells Lashley to remember The Alamo.
MATCH #4: Women’s Tag Team Match:
Alexa Bliss and Asuka vs. Doudrop and Nikki A.S.H.
We go back to the ring and out comes Alexa Bliss with Lilly. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and out comes Asuka as Bliss looks on from the corner. Out first comes Nikki A.S.H. for her team. She stops on the stage and out next comes Doudrop. They head to the ring together as Bliss and Asuka wait side-by-side. The bell rings and Nikki locks up with Asuka. Nikki drops Asuka first but stops to pose and show off in the middle of the ring.
Asuka yells at Nikki and they run the ropes. Asuka with a shoulder to drop Nikki. Asuka takes it to the corner and in comes Bliss with a roll-up for 2, and another, and another. Bliss works Nikki over but Doudrop tags in without Bliss seeing it. Bliss stomps on Nikki but comes back up as Doudrop flattens her with a charging splash. Nikki and Doudrop take turns on Bliss now with the quick tag. Nikki keeps control and splashes Bliss in the corner again.
Nikki grounds Bliss now, rag-dolling her with a submission. Bliss comes out of the corner, and they collide with clothesline attempts. Asuka and Doudrop tag in at the same time. Asuka has a kick blocked, but she unloads with back-fists and a kick. Doudrop blocks an Irish whip, but Asuka comes off the second rope with a missile dropkick. Nikki tags in and comes off the top but Asuka meets her in the air with a knee. Asuka with kicks while Nikki is on her knees now. Asuka knocks Doudrop off the apron with a Hip Attack, then covers Nikki for a close 2 count.
Bliss tags in and works on Nikki. Bliss and Asuka go to double team Nikki while she’s down, but Doudrop pulls Asuka to the floor. Doudrop looks to capitalize but she misses a senton on the floor and lands hard. Bliss and Nikki go at it in the ring again. Bliss with a kick to the gut and a big DDT for the pin to win.
Winners: Alexa Bliss and Asuka
After the match: The music hits as Bliss and Asuka embrace. We go to replays. Bliss and Asuka continue celebrating and taunting the losers as they look on from ringside.
MATCH #5: Six-Man Tag Team Match:
Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Omos vs. Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford and R-Truth
We go back to the ring and out come Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions The Usos – Jimmy Uso with Jey Uso. They hit the ring and pose for this singles match as we go back to a commercial break.
Back from the break and The Usos have the mics. They’re interrupted by The Street Profits – Angelo Dawkins with Montez Ford. The Profits promise to take the titles at SummerSlam because they are up and they want the smoke. The music interrupts and out comes R-Truth next. Truth says it doesn’t have to be like this, we’re in the city of Brotherly Love. This is not Philadelphia. Truth goes on about everything he’s certified for, and says he’s a bonafide, certified, tag team counselor. Truth asks if we can all get along and let him counsel. The Usos say Truth has been around their family for a long time but they need him to get out of the ring so they can get down to business, unless he has a referee shirt on. Truth reveals his referee shirt and says he’s also a certified referee.
Truth asks if he can be the special referee for the title match at SummerSlam. He shows how he would do the job and The Usos yell at him to take the shirt off and take his clown ass to the back where he belongs. The back & forth continues until the music interrupts and out comes Omos with MVP. MVP says he had the idea for Omos to be the special referee. Truth says Omos can’t even count to 10, and MVP says Truth can’t either. MVP says Omos had a better idea and that’s get involved in this match. MVP offers Omos’ services to The Bloodline so they can even the odds. The two sides agree, and a fight breaks out. Truth gets dropped and Omos sends The Profits into a double superkick by The Usos. Omos and The Usos stand tall over Truth as we go to a commercial break.
Back from the break and Omos drops Dawkins to start the six-man match. Jey tags in but Dawkins beats him down. Ford tags in for the double team and a quick 2 count. Truth controls Jey by his arm, then tags in Truth to take over. Jey rams Truth to their corner and in comes Jimmy off the tag. Omos tags in and drops Truth with a big chop to the chest. Jimmy tags back in and works Truth over for a 2 count. Truth fights out and nails his opponents on the apron, but Jimmy knocks him down. Truth blocks a double team by The Usos, then in comes The Profits for a double dropkick.
Truth dropkicks Omos on the apron but he’s still standing. A triple dropkick by Truth and The Usos now sends Omos to the floor. The Profits run and leap out, taking The Uso down on the floor. Truth launches himself out to the floor where Omos is at, but Omos catches him in mid-air, then levels him with a clothesline. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and Omos dominates Truth in the middle of the ring as the referee warns him. MVP barks from ringside as Jey comes back in to keep control. Truth counters Jey and drops him with a scissors kick. Fans rally now. Jimmy and Ford tag in at the same time. Ford rocks Jimmy and hits a big top rope crossbody. Ford rocks Omos on the apron but it does nothing. Ford and Jimmy keep going at it.
Ford stuns Jimmy with an enziguri and hits a big standing Blockbuster. Ford keeps control for another 2 count. Uso gets sent to the floor. Ford goes to leap out, but Omos meets him from the apron and grabs him by the throat. Dawkins runs over and saves Ford by grabbing Omos from behind. This leads to The Profits shoving Omos face-first into the ring post.
Jimmy brings Ford back in, but Ford kicks him. Dawkins tags in and knocks Jimmy off Ford’s shoulders for the Doomsday Device. Jey rushes in to break the pin up just in time. Jey with a pop-up Samoan Drop to Ford. Truth slams Jey like John Cena, then calls for the Five Knuckle Shuffle but Omos trips him and pulls him out, sending him into the steel ring steps.
Jimmy nails Dawkins with an enziguri. Dawkins comes back with the corkscrew splash in the corner. Dawkins catches Jimmy with the Spinebuster but doesn’t see the tag to Omos. Omos hits the big chokeslam on Dawkins into the mat for the pin to win.
Winners: Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso and Omos
After the match: Omos stands tall with MVP as the music hits.
We see what happened earlier tonight with Brock Lesnar, Theory and Alpha Academy.
BACKSTAGE: Kevin Patrick is with Seth Rollins now, asking him about the main event. Rollins says there’s been a lot of talk about Ezekiel’s identity, but he doesn’t give a damn. Rollins says if you get in his way, you’re going to get put down. Rollins goes on and says there is this one person whose identity he’s very curious about. He asks who the hell does Riddle think he is? Rollins will tell us who he is – he’s someone who can’t ride the coattails of Randy Orton anymore, someone who can’t hide behind his big bro Randy anymore, someone who can’t use the good name of Seth Rollins to chase some clout. Rollins recalls the old saying that says if you play with fire, sooner or later you will get burned. Rollins says just ask Cody Rhodes. Theory interrupts and asks if Rollins has any advice for him as Rollins had the greatest Money in the Bank cash-in in history. Rollins laughs and says Theory has come to the right spot. Rollins tells Theory to walk with him. They walk off together as we get ready for the main event.
Back from the break and we get another mystery vignette for the new talent or returning Superstar.
We see what The Miz had to say about Logan Paul earlier. Paul responded with a Twitter video and said Miz is delusional. Paul declared that he and Miz are done, and he wants The Miz one-on-one at SummerSlam. Paul said he’s coming to RAW next week so Miz can really read his lips. Paul said when he sees Miz face-to-face next week, it’s gonna be… awesome!
MAIN EVENT: Tag Team Match:
Bobby Lashley and Riddle vs. Seth Rollins and Theory
We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event as WWE United States Champion Bobby Lashley makes his way out. Lashley hits the corner to pose as the pyro goes off. Riddle is out next to another pop. Riddle poses with fans in the front row, then launches himself into the ring from the apron as the pyro hits. Riddle also poses in the corner as fans cheer him on and chant “Bro!” now. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and we see what happened last week with Riddle, Ezekiel and Seth Rollins. We go back to the ring and out comes Seth Rollins for his team. Theory is out next with his Money in the Bank briefcase. Riddle and Theory start the match off. Theory unloads into the corner, beating Riddle around the ring. Rollins tags in to take over. They double team Riddle now.
Theory taunts Lashley by flexing. Riddle turns it around in the corner and drops Theory on his head. Lashley tags in and levels Theory. Lashley with a big splash in the corner. Rollins tags in but Lashley fights them both off and hits a double DDT in the middle of the ring for a close 2 count. Riddle tags in and Lashley flips him onto Rollins for a 2 count. Lashley takes Rollins to the corner for thrusts now.
Lashley with the long vertical suplex but Rollins fights out and Lashley gets sent to the floor. Rollins runs and goes for the suicide dive but Lashley catches him on the floor. Riddle kicks Theory to stop him from attacking. This leads to Lashley running Rollins head-first into the ring post.
The music interrupts and out comes Dolph Ziggler wearing a suit. Everyone watches as Ziggler struts down the ramp. Back to commercial.
Back from the break and Riddle fights out of the corner, unloading on Rollins and beating Theory off the apron to the floor. Riddle goes to the top but Theory knocks him off while Rollins is talking to the referee. Ziggler is watching from a chair next to the announcers.
Rollins runs up with Riddle on the top, then brings him to the mat with a big super Exploder suplex. Riddle kicks out at 2. Rollins can’t believe it so he quickly covers again for another 2 count. Rollins works Riddle over while he’s down now. Rollins with a running big boot and some trash talking, slapping Riddle around. Riddle fights back and unloads with strikes. Rollins catches Riddle with a Sleeper hold, bringing him to the mat. Riddle fights back to his feet but Rollins slams him on the mat, then grounds him with another submission. Theory taunts Lashley from the apron. Riddle fights up from Rollins’ submission but Rollins stops the tag again. Riddle ducks and nails an overhead kick to the face. Theory tags in and rolls through the ropes at Riddle, Riddle takes him down into a submission. Riddle with a Sleeper now while on Theory’s back. Theory finally breaks it by smashing Theory back to the mat.
Lashley and Rollins tag in at the same time as the crowd pops. Lashley unloads and then knocks Theory off the apron to the floor. Lashley smashes Rollins in the corner and drops him on his head. Lashley goes for a powerbomb but Rollins slides out and hits an enziguri. Rollins with a forearm in the corner. Lashley counters and catches Rollins in a powerslam but Theory rushes in to break the pin up just in time.
Lashley grabs Theory’s leg, but Theory rocks him. Theory charges and Lashley catches him with a big chokeslam. Rollins rocks Lashley as he turns around, then hits a big forearm to the back of the head. Rollins goes to the top and hits the big Frogsplash to Lashley, but he kicks out just in time.
Ziggler and others are shocked at Lashley kicking out. Theory and Riddle tag in at the same time. Riddle with clotheslines and a Randy Orton powerslam. Riddle with the second rope draping DDT for another pop. Riddle drops down and pounds the mat to ready for the RKO. Rollins brings Theory to ringside to save him from the RKO and regroup as fans boo. Lashley suddenly rushes from out of nowhere and puts Rollins through the timekeeper’s barrier with a big Spear. Theory and Ziggler are shocked.
Riddle pulls Theory back into the ring, but Theory rocks him. Theory goes for The ATL, but it’s blocked. Theory blocks the RKO and rolls Riddle up, putting his feet on the ropes for leverage. Ziggler pushes his feet off the ropes, then sits back down. A shocked Theory turns and points out at Ziggler. Riddle takes advantage of the distraction and drops Theory with the RKO for the pin to win.
Winners: Bobby Lashley and Riddle
After the match: Riddle and Lashley begin celebrating as the music hits and we go to replays. Lashley and Riddle celebrate on the ramp now and Lashley accidentally knocks Riddle down, then helps him back up as Theory looks on from the ring. Theory suddenly turns around to a big superkick from Ziggler in the ring. Ziggler now stands over Theory and adjusts his tie as his music starts up. Ziggler raises his fist in the air while standing over Theory as RAW goes off the air.
